When you work with wood and you wish to do so with a certain amount of responsibility towards the environment and the FSC certificate is the only certificate which guarantees fair play as far as the origin of the wood used.
Here at LZF we are proud to announce that we now have the FSC control wood certificate which officially backs our concern about how we work with wood. FSC makes sure that our veneers are from controlled forests which do not endanger our environment and assure a responsible management of the forests involved. This is another small step towards excellence.
Cuando se trabaja con madera y quieres hacerlo con un cierto grado de responsabilidad hacia el medio ambiente, el certificado FSC es el único certificado que garantiza el juego limpio en cuanto a la procedencia de la madera utilizada.

Spiro, a new LZF lamp. Designed by Remedios Simon for LZF, is named after its structural design which are housed in its interior. Made up of dozens of delicate concentric wood modules, through which light flows, the decorative, hypnotic spiral shapes, with their curved lines, will let your inner creativity shine. This new way of shaping Polywood® veneer opens a whole range of new possibilities allowing them to be incorporated into various configurations which could easily adaptable for the contract market. The attractive Spiro lamp is ideal for the home and in high traffic areas, both private and public. Check out the new pictures of this new model!

Raindrop, a new LZF lamp. Raindrop, designed by Javier Herrero Studio, is a delicate wooden raindrop frozen in mid fall; it’s light source floating in its interior. With the Raindrop family you can generate showers of light that will provide pure visual poetry to any ambiance, or installation. Shaped from natural wood they can adapt themselves to many different lighting necessities. Check out the new pictures of this model!

Raindrop, diseñada por Javier Herrero Studio, es una delicada gota de madera que permanece en suspensión y en su interior contienen, flotando, el elemento principal, la luz. Con las Raindrops se pueden generar pequeñas “lluvias de luz” que aportarán pura poesía visual a cualquier ambiente, tanto hábitat como instalación. En lzf nos adelantamos al año nuevo y “escribimos” en el tiempo, diseñando un nuevo calendario: de mayo a mayo, de 2012 a 2013. Un nuevo período que bien se merece un diseño especial. Un calendario así no pasa desapercibido y por eso le hemos diseñado un ingenioso atril, para que lo tengas siempre a la vista y sepas en qué día vives! We’d like to anticipate the new year and “write” the time by designing a new calendar: from May to May, 2012-2013. A new time period that deserves a special effort. The Calendar comes with its own stand, keep it near you on your desk so you always know what day it is and when you finish the year you can recycle the stand for you favorite photo or book. It is such a unique event, we just couldn’t miss it: the retrospective exhibition at the Cervantes Institute in Milan to celebrate “10 years of Nude”. The excitement spread beyond the walls of the Institute, reaching the shops of the Via Dante. “Nude sulla Strada” as they would say in Italy. A total of 14 studios and 26 of Spain’s leading manufacturers in contemporary design, LZF among them, have gathered together for the event, which lasts until May 15th. The opening ceremony was held on April 18th in the presence of designers, entrepreneurs and representatives of Feria Hábitat Valencia. In the words of the president, José Blasco, “Through this initiative, our goal is to pay tribute to all the young designers who have participated in the New Design Showcase and the manufacturers who support them.”
As an integral part of its philosophy, LZF has been committed to the support of talented young people ever since its creation. Proof of this lies in the collaboration projects with designers such as Luis Eslava, Miguel Herranz and Yonoh Studio, who participated in previous editions of NUDE and were able to find a supporter, a project or a platform from which they could unleash their creativity. The Sioux, Minimikado, Anfora, Hola, Agatha, Armadillo and, more recently, the Pleg lamps are the result of this collaborative effort.
No podíamos faltar a la cita: “10 años de Nude”, una exposición retrospectiva en el Instituto Cervantes de Milán. La acción ha traspasado las paredes del Instituto y ha sacado a “pasear” algunas de las piezas por comercios de la milanesa Via Dante, bajo la idea de “Nude sulla Strada”. La celebración une hasta el 15 de mayo a un total de 14 estudios y 26 fabricantes punteros de la industria española del hábitat, entre los que estamos nosotros. Al acto de apertura, el 18 de abril, acudieron diseñadores, empresarios y responsables de la Feria Hábitat Valencia, entre ellos su presidente José Blasco: “Con esta iniciativa queremos rendir un homenaje a todos esos jóvenes diseñadores que han pasado por nuestro Salón de Nuevo Diseño y también a los fabricantes que han apostado por ellos”.
Para LZF, el compromiso con los jóvenes talentos ha estado muy presente desde siempre y es inherente a su filosofía. ¿La prueba más clara?: el trabajo compartido con diseñadores como Luis Eslava, Miguel Herranz o Yonoh Studio, quienes una vez pasaron por el NUDE y después encontraron un respaldo, un proyecto, un espacio desde donde dar rienda suelta a su potencial creativo. Fruto de estas relaciones son, por ejemplo, las lámparas Sioux, Minimikado, Anfora, Hola, Agatha, Armadillo o más receintemente, Pleg.
