In 2011 Tachy Mora published her acclaimed book “Cutting Edge Spanish Crafts”; a book that reveals the most contemporary side of Spanish Crafts and their interaction with design. Now, converted into a traveling exhibition under the same name and currently showing at the former residence of the Ambassador of Spain in Washington, D.C., Tachy presents the collection live and of which we have the pleasure to be part of.

The exhibition organized by EOI and Fundesarte showcases a selection of artisan works from leading designers, highlighting the innovative nature and diversity of ideas Spain brings to the contemporary design community.

Nestled within this melting pot of ceramics, jewelry and sculpture are a selection of LZF´s award winning wooden veneer lamps, which shine out and are a testament to the resurgence of the artisan craft industry within Spain.

Artisan crafts are experienced a boom in the wake of the economic crisis which revealed previously unsustainable production methods and practices. The exhibition runs from February 5th – March 29th.

Next stops for the “Cutting Edge Spanish Crafts” itinerant exhibition: Lima (Peru) from the 3rd to the 13th of July & Mexico DF from the 18th of August till the 15th of November.
