Telling Tales is the name of our communication campaign for 2016. CEO and Creative Director Mariví Calvo, created the campaign based on three ideas that would make this catalogue different from previous ones: the images were to be set at night, providing an opportunity to showcase the lamps when lit; the focus was to shift from spaces themselves to the human beings that inhabit them, and the catalogue was to move away from traditional formats and to be a work of artistic creation.

Our Telling Tales Campaign and Swirl pendant lamp have both received Good Design Awards 2017 after receiving Red Dot Awards and German Design Awards earlier this year.

The Swirl pendant lamp is a new ingenious suspension lamp designed by Ray Power. With a shape that is both studied and sculptural, Swirl strikes a handsome profile from every angle. At once elegant and enigmatic, Swirl excites the eye with its eddying and whirling folds, their twisting twirl a sensuous feat.

Each year the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and Metropolitan Arts Press Ltd present GOOD DESIGN Awards to the most innovative and cutting-edge designs from around the world. Now in its 66th year, GOOD DESIGN is the oldest and the most prestigious Awards Program organized worldwide.

The GOOD DESIGN was founded in Chicago in 1950 by former MoMA curator Edgar Kaufmann, Jr, together with the likes of Charles and Ray Eames, Russel Wright, George Nelson, and Eero Saarinen. It honors the yearly achievements of the best industrial and graphic designers and world manufacturers for their pursuit of extraordinary design excellence.

We are incredibly grateful to the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and Metropolitan Arts Press Ltd for the awards and would like to thank everyone involved in the production of the Telling Tales campaign as well as to Ray Power the designer of the Swirl for their part in making this all possible.
