eclectic:

adjective

  1. Deriving ideas, style, or taste from a broad and diverse range of sources.

Here at LZF we absolutely LOVE eclectic. As far as we’re concerned eclectic means never slavishly following a specific trend. Like those ridged modernists for example, who always took themselves far too seriously (in all of Corbusier’s writings, have you EVER read even one joke?).  Eclectic means doing it your own way. Mixing it up. Eclectic is the Cindi Lauper of interior design, but with a far less annoying voice.

This is why we were more than pleased to have our beautiful timber veneer lamps specified for the interior of a quirky home in Valencia, designed by Cota Cero Interiorismo.

The owners had a refined appreciation of eclectic, mixing Scandinavian modern with a touch of 80s bachelor pad (love that grey sofa) and 90s glam. Our (discontinued) Sioux added a touch of the tribal to the living area, while the adjacent Saturnia provided a sleeker aesthetic. An I-Club was chosen for over the dining table, ramping up the Teutonic flavour and making for a functional solution when it comes to illuminating the hub of the house.

During the day, the high ceilings and extensive use of glazing provides plenty of natural light, leaving our lamps to act as a sculptural interest.

All in all, a great result for a house and its owners that aren’t afraid to express their individuality.
