LZF – photo shoot at Hotel Caro, Valencia
More new images were taken for our 2014 catalog, at the Caro Hotel in Valencia. This antique and beautiful building, converted in a hotel in 2012, has more than 2000 years of history. From 2005 till its opening, the Palace had a meticulous restoration and was part of an archeological research, where remains of a Roman Circus and a XII century muslim wall were found.
In addition, the Palace was also San Esteban’s church and Don Nicolás García Caro y Ferrer de Plegamans’ home, also known as the second Marqués de Caro.
The appareance of this historic building, the combination of antique and modern architecture and its art pieces make this place a very attractive location for photography, where lights and shadows mix the same way as modern and classic.
Mariví Calvo, creative director of LZF was supported by the prestigious photographer Santiago Relanzón who captured just the right look and feel of the images. As usual she counted with the help of the brand’s usual team: Emilio Lekuona in art direction, Vasilis Pappas in the lighting, Adrián M. Almonacid coordinating the set up.
For us, it was a really exciting shoot and we were really pleased of having the chance to bring our lighting products to such beautiful and notorious building. It was an honor to have the chance to create different ambiences with our lamps and let our wood being touched by light.
Stay tuned to know more about the launch of this new catalog.
