Star of the show
In feudal times the Asterisk was used by printers who drew up family trees as a symbol to indicate ‘date of birth’. The name Asterisk is derived from the Greek asetriskos, which means ‘little star’.
LZF’s Asterisco, designed by the fabulous Valencian design studio Cuatro Cuatros is our own little star, having just received a Special Mention at the uber-prestigious German Design Awards.
The awards are organised by the German Design Council, and considered one of the most respected in the world. Their aim is to identify, present and honour unique design trends…such as our wonderful Asterisco.
Asterisco is a seamless blend of form and function; the clever integration of a lectern makes it the perfect lamp to read by, or take down notes. And it’s damn sexy. If you are ever going to write your mistress a steamy love letter, the Asterisco is the lamp to do it by.
Congratulations to the team at Cuatro Cuatros.
Stars, all of you.
